Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, with at least 8 years of hands-on corporate IT experience. They should have extensive experience with Linux, Microsoft Windows Server (2003-2012), and Mac devices in a mixed environment, along with strong troubleshooting skills in these operating systems. A deep understanding of networking, including routing management, dynamic routing protocols (BGP), VLAN tagging, policy configuration, and QoS setups is essential. Experience configuring and managing enterprise-class networking equipment, particularly Mikrotik Enterprise, is mandatory. Additionally, experience with cloud-based infrastructure, designing and managing high-bandwidth networks (like video streaming), and experience in a software development company are required or preferred.
The Senior System Engineer will lead the company’s Network and IT Systems design and architecture, establishing company-wide processes for server installation, configuration, maintenance, backups, and recovery. Responsibilities include maintaining applications and services provided by the IT team, designing, installing, and maintaining virtual environments in a high-availability setup, and designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining company-wide network infrastructure and equipment. The role involves identifying, tracking, and resolving issues in the corporate issue tracking system, configuring and maintaining network and server monitoring systems (Zabbix, SNMP OID tracking, custom statistics trackers), and providing prompt responses to technology-related issues. This position may require occasional after-hours or weekend work to support company or IT projects, resolving user issues related to the server and network environment, configuring and maintaining production-grade VPN servers, and supporting and optimizing high-load DNS systems.
