Requirements

Candidates should possess a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 9 years and a Master’s degree, or a PhD with 6 years of experience, or equivalent experience. They must have at least 2-5 years of experience in a Senior Staff level position, including experience in Life Sciences, Genomics, or Pharmaceutical industries, and a strong understanding of statistical and mathematical modelling of genomic, proteomic, and transcriptomic data, as well as experience with machine learning techniques and Bayesian statistics.

Responsibilities

The Senior Staff Bioinformatic Scientist will perform statistical analysis, machine learning, and bioinformatics algorithms to support projects and applications of Illumina technologies, research and develop datasets spanning multiomics, serve as a technical lead in core ILS projects driving new adoption of emerging technologies, mentor Bioinformatic Scientists and Bioinformatic Engineers, develop novel and optimize bioinformatic tools and algorithms, collaborate with KOLs and cross-functional teams, communicate analysis results, and produce documentation of data analyses.
