Candidates should possess 7-8 years of industry experience with a minimum of 5 years in a pre-sales environment, outstanding presenting skills for both technical and executive audiences, broad experience with large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies such as Data Lake, Data Mesh, and Data Fabric, hands-on expertise with SQL and Python, and the ability to connect customer business problems with Snowflake solutions. A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred, and a Master’s degree in Data Science or Business Administration is a plus. Experience with Global System Integrators (GSIs) like EY, Deloitte, or Accenture would be beneficial.
As a Senior Solution Engineer, you will work directly with the sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs, strategize sales cycles, provide value-based demonstrations, support enterprise Proof of Concepts, and ultimately close business. You will present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers, work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate Snowflake’s value, immerse yourself in industry trends, collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake’s products, and on day one, you will be expected to connect a customer’s specific business problems with Snowflake’s solutions and do deep discovery of customer architecture frameworks.
