A strong background in implementing Agile principles in a hybrid planning environment, good technical acumen, and a team-oriented approach are essential. Experience translating complex technical ideas into simple business language and influencing stakeholders is also required. The role is hybrid in Chicago, IL, with a minimum of one day onsite per week, and candidates cannot reside in DE, KY, MS, MT, NE, ND, or WY.
The Senior Software Product Owner will lead the product development and implementation of a critical software ecosystem, managing multiple business unit stakeholders. Responsibilities include assessing product opportunities and risks, leading Agile process improvements, managing a complex backlog, and leading product design with functional specifications and workflows. They will translate customer needs into actionable plans, own features end-to-end, and prioritize the product backlog. Additionally, the role involves establishing product roadmaps, meeting with business stakeholders to discuss application functionality, refining user stories and epics in Jira, monitoring development progress, communicating product development status, defining product metrics, and coaching other product owners and business systems analysts.
