Senior Software Engineer, Platform Engineering

The Senior Software Engineer will empower product delivery teams to execute independently while meeting a high bar of excellence. They will identify and deliver capabilities as part of an engineering platform to help product delivery teams succeed. Responsibilities include designing and iterating on infrastructure-as-code templates and software libraries for applications, databases, edge infrastructure, AWS account infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability. The role involves shaping the DevOps experience at SmartAsset by bundling telemetry, tracing, logs, dashboards, and alerting for collaboration and issue resolution. Engaging in a collaborative team environment to guide teams on cloud architecture, scaling patterns, development opportunities, cost savings, and vulnerabilities is key. The engineer will also design, develop, and integrate mature DevOps pipelines, including build automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), security, observability, and alerting, and develop a strategic roadmap and agile backlog to support cloud best practices and high-quality product delivery.
