Requirements

Candidates should possess a degree in computer science or a related field, along with 8+ years of programming experience in Java. They must have deep technical expertise with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and other Spring technologies, and experience with microservices architecture and Domain-driven design. Strong experience in web application security, working with Cloud environments (AWS preferred), expertise in writing multi-threaded applications, and proficiency in developing service-oriented (SOA) and REST architectures are also required. Experience with Unit-testing (Junit, TestNG, Jmock, MockIt, etc.) and Agile/Scrum methodology is necessary.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer - Java will design and implement features and functionalities in an AWS cloud-based platform, optimize a robust distributed system, recommend and justify changes to existing products and processes, collaborate on architecture and design decisions, implement and maintain modern micro-services, own deliverables from ideation to production operationalization, collaborate with other engineers on code reviews and infrastructure, integrate RESTful web services utilizing JSON from multi-tiered web applications, and participate in the full Agile cycle engagements including meetings, iterative development, estimations, and design sessions. They will also mentor and collaborate with other team members, and collaborate with Business, UX, QA, and back-end teams to deliver superior functionalities.
