Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, along with at least 5 years of experience in data transformation and ETL on large datasets utilizing open technologies such as Spark, SQL, and Python. Strong SQL skills, including optimization and understanding of execution plans, are required, as well as familiarity with AWS cloud environments, MySQL databases, Redis caching, and messaging tools like Kafka/SQS. Candidates should also have at least one year of experience working in an AWS environment and demonstrate knowledge of modern web technologies. Experience with advanced Data Lake, Data Warehouse concepts, and Data Modeling (Relational, Dimensional, internet-scale logs) is essential, alongside proficiency in Python, Spark (Batch/Streaming), SparkSQL, and PySpark. Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is also required.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer - Data will provide technical leadership for Data Engineering and Business Intelligence, creating and implementing robust and scalable data pipelines for business intelligence and machine learning. They will develop and maintain core data frameworks and key infrastructures, including designing and implementing Data Warehouses and data models. The role involves defining and implementing Data Governance processes related to data discovery, lineage, access control, and quality assurance, and applying a data-oriented mindset to business requirements and process design.
