About the Role

This role focuses on improving core pipelines for Demandbase's Identification product and designing new processes for data science teams to test and deploy ML/AI models. The product is integral to Demandbase's account intelligence platform. This position is ideal for experienced engineers looking to advance their data engineering or data science background with a passion for data.

Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to build, expand, and improve real-world entity identification datasets.
  • Coordinate with downstream stakeholders who have dependencies on identification datasets.
  • Design and build new pipelines to increase identification coverage and detect errors.
  • Collaborate with a skilled data science team to enable new ML/AI model development.
  • Provide insights into optimizing existing pipelines for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Create and document descriptive plans for new feature implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Progressive experience in the following areas:
    • Object-oriented / strongly typed programming expertise (e.g., Scala, Java).
    • Productionizing and deploying Spark pipelines.
    • Complex SQL.
    • Apache Airflow or a similar orchestration tool.
    • Strong SDLC principles (CI/CD, unit testing, Git process, etc.).
    • Strong understanding of AWS services (IAM, EC2, S3).
  • An interest in data science.

Preferred Qualifications (Even Better If You Have)

  • Python.
  • Distributed Computing.
  • Ad-Targeting experience.
  • GenAI experience.
  • Background in ad-tech industry jargon.
  • Experience modeling and working with graph-based datasets.
