Latitude AI develops automated driving technologies, including L3, for Ford vehicles at scale. As a Ford Motor Company subsidiary, Latitude operates independently to develop automated driving technology at the speed of a technology startup. The Intelligent Systems organization is responsible for all components consuming sensor data, as well as offboard infrastructure required to enable such components. The team seeks a talented and technically sophisticated engineer for our calibration group, responsible for calibration both pre-customer and once the vehicle is in customer hands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or PhD).
  • Background in state-of-the-art robotics sensor calibration algorithms.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop novel calibration solutions for a diverse range of sensors (camera, radar, lidar, IMU) in factory and unstructured environments.
  • Design, evangelize, and implement calibration technology solutions to ensure vehicle awareness and maintain calibration over the vehicle’s lifespan.
  • Leverage C++ to develop complex, scalable, and robust software.
  • Provide coding and design expertise, including code reviews, testing strategies, and mentoring junior team members.
  • Contribute to a high-performing team through design reviews, code reviews, continuous integration, and automated testing.
