Position Overview

The Consumer Engineering Test Infrastructure (CETI) team specializes in accelerating the development of high-quality products by enabling large-scale validation of product behaviors through automated test infrastructure. We are an engineering-driven team, focused on building innovative tools and infrastructure to help developers test high-fidelity production behaviors early in the development cycle, catching and fixing bugs sooner.

We are seeking experienced and dynamic backend Software Engineers to join our team. This role is crucial for developing robust, user-friendly infrastructure that empowers engineers to ship high-quality products and fosters a culture of proactive testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing test infrastructure and driving test automation across our services.

Responsibilities

• Build & Scale Testing Infrastructure: Architect and implement automated testing frameworks from the ground up, enabling teams to validate product behavior faster and more reliably.
• Enable Smart Automation: Define strategies to automate testing at every level—unit, integration, and end-to-end—while seamlessly integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Leverage AI/ML for Smarter Testing: Explore and implement novel AI/ML techniques to optimize test execution, detect flaky tests, and enable self-healing automation. Utilize intelligent anomaly detection to improve test coverage and recovery.
• Enhance Developer Productivity: Identify bottlenecks in testing workflows, introduce cutting-edge tools, and create streamlined processes that empower engineers to ship high-quality software with confidence.
• Define and Drive Product Quality Metrics: Establish measurable driver and outcome metrics that track test effectiveness, release stability, and developer efficiency. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure these metrics influence decision-making and improve product quality across the company.
• Drive Best Practices & Company-Wide Impact: Partner with teams across the entire tech stack to define and implement scalable testing strategies. Your work will directly influence development speed and product quality across the company.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
• Proven experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services, with a strong understanding of service-oriented architecture.
• Solid understanding of system testability, testing methodologies, and best practices for functional and non-functional requirements, with practical experience applying them to widely used products.
• Commitment to writing high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs.
• Passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in a company that has undergone rapid growth (startup to mid-size).
• Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks.
• Experience decomposing large monoliths into microservices.
• Experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
• Experience building financial, high-reliability, or security systems.
• Experience with Blockchain technology (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum).
• Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with on-chain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.
