Candidates should have 2+ years of experience shipping backend code in a high-quality production environment, experience building, deploying, and maintaining microservices in production, experience with data modeling, and experience with a cloud platform such as Google Cloud, AWS, and/or Azure. Strong communication skills and an interest in interfacing with business-level stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, are also required, along with a desire to make a business impact without sacrificing engineering quality.
The Backend Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software features in collaboration with teammates, write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following org-wide conventions and best practices, participate in code reviews, debug and resolve software defects and production issues, contribute to team planning rituals, document technical designs and decisions, proactively ask questions and seek mentorship, and contribute to continuous improvement of team practices, tools, and processes. They will also collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions, and receive mentorship from senior engineers and managers to build their skills and contribute to high-leverage systems that accelerate personalized care delivery.
