Requirements

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer should possess 6+ years of experience in SRE or DevOps/System Engineering roles, with 6+ years of experience building and managing production Kubernetes infrastructure, 6+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Bash, and experience with Infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or Crossplane. Furthermore, the candidate requires experience with CI/CD tools (CircleCI), GitOps tools (ArgoCD), and a broad range of AWS technologies including RDS, ElasticSearch, VPC, EKS, S3, CloudFront, MSK, Elasticache, CloudWatch, and experience developing and maintaining YAML templating systems (Helm charts, Kustomize, etc.).

Responsibilities

This role involves building systems to optimize platform uptime and reliability, maintaining and engineering production and non-production Kubernetes Clusters, deploying and maintaining monitoring and logging solutions using Prometheus, Loki, Thanos, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and New Relic, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address bottlenecks and proactively prevent system failures, defining and managing SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets, developing processes and automation to reduce toil across engineering teams, planning and forecasting service capacity and demand, debugging production/non-production issues, and participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
