Requirements
- At least five (5) years or more of hands-on professional experience designing and developing mission critical distributed systems with high requirements on performance, resiliency and consistency
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Financial Engineering or a related field
- Good understanding of the financial markets, the different asset classes and the unique technical requirements in building financial systems
- Highly motivated, self-starter with a passion for technology and the ability and desire to learn new skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to deliver results with minimal supervision
- Experience from prioritization between technical and business tasks, balancing the long and short term business benefits with technical debt and developer productivity
- Experience in troubleshooting system performance and take corrective action as necessary
- Experience in supporting and running systems in a production environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Required experience in Java and Typescript/Javascript
- Preferred experience in Clear Street technology stack: Golang, Python, React, AWS, Kubernetes, gRPC, Protobuf, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, Docker (readiness to learn this stack required)
Responsibilities
- Work closely with business partners, build and design new solutions, and support the current business
- Build applications for Securities Finance and Futures businesses, Execution Management, Risk as well as Custody and Clearing systems
- Work in conjunction with team members in Sweden and NY
- Build both client-side (usability and easy navigation) and server-side elements (data storage, security, overall performance)
- Contribute to building the technological backbone of Clear Street as part of the Swedish Engineering team
