Requirements

  • 6 years’ experience in card issuing, network compliance, or scheme management roles at a fintech, bank, or processor
  • Deep expertise in card scheme operations, certifications, rule tracking, and BIN/product management
  • Proven ability to work across regions (especially Europe and APAC) and manage relationships with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or similar
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail—especially around regulatory or technical compliance deadlines
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and vendor management skills
  • Familiarity with card personalisation, mobile wallet provisioning, and EMV certifications is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Secure and maintain scheme licences, BINs and product codes for all issuing lines (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) across Europe and APAC
  • Lead end-to-end certification of physical and virtual cards, including chip profile, tokenisation (Apple Pay / Google Pay) and mobile wallet compliance
  • Track every scheme bulletin; deliver rule, fee and interchange changes before deadline, achieving zero compliance breaches
  • Act as single point of contact with scheme account teams
  • Orchestrate vendors (processor, personalisation bureau) so card launches hit quality gates and go-live dates
  • Publish clear internal manuals, SLAs and training decks so Ops, Risk and Product teams stay scheme-ready at all times
