Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred
  • Minimum 2-3 years related experience, preferably in an accounting role within a publicly traded SaaS company. Experience with Big 4 accounting firms is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606, and Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Intacct), revenue automation software (e.g., Salesforce), understanding of data structure, SQL queries, and advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrates full ownership of assigned accounting functions, proactively managing deadlines and resolving discrepancies
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of assigned areas related to the accurate and timely recording of revenue transactions in compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement disclosures
  • Perform and document internal controls over the order-to-cash cycle, ensuring data accuracy and completeness as required by Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Work with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Work closely with Sales, FP&A, Legal, and IT teams to provide reports and account for revenue transactions and contracts
  • Prepare revenue reports and analyses for financial statement disclosures
  • Support various Company projects, including mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, and process improvements
  • Drive process and system improvements and provide guidance and support to team members
  • Take ownership of your work, follow through on commitments, and proactively seek ways to improve systems and processes under your care
