Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or progress towards CPA certification strongly preferred
  • 1-2 years of public accounting experience working on public companies
  • 2-3 years of industry experience performing technical revenue accounting
  • Experience with consumption preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with NetSuite ARM
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Effective communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end review of complex, non-standard sales contracts to ensure revenue is recognized accurately under ASC 606
  • Manage key areas of the revenue month-end close, from preparing complex journal entries and reconciliations to delivering insightful flux analysis to leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying inefficiencies in the quote-to-cash process and implementing scalable best practices
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external audits, preparing PBC schedules and independently addressing auditor inquiries
  • Lead technical accounting research on new or unusual revenue scenarios, document findings in memos, and present conclusions to accounting leadership
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, legal and operations, to support the revenue process
  • Prepare and maintain documentation supporting revenue recognition policies and procedures
  • Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management
