Requirements

  • 8+ years of user research experience in a high-growth or fast-paced tech company
  • Minimum 3+ years managing user researchers with a proven track record of developing talent and building high-trust teams at more than one company
  • Proven experience in influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Learning, Delivery, and SLT
  • Expertise in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Strong synthesis and storytelling skills, including the ability to create executive-ready summaries that land
  • Experience using AI tools to speed up research workflows

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional research that directly shapes product and business strategy
  • Build a unified, searchable, taggable insight repository that empowers teams to self-serve and trust research as a source of truth
  • Ensure research insights are applied across the business—collaborating with Product Directors and Group Leads to influence roadmaps, priorities, and decisions
  • Champion the voice of both customers and learners at the executive level, while supporting teams to take ownership of insight locally
  • Establish and scale regular “User Connect Sessions” where product teams join customer calls and/or conduct lightweight research weekly
  • Actively contribute to experience reviews, embedding customer insights in every journey and interface
  • Run quarterly insight playbacks to surface the top customer and learner pain points that inform leadership priorities
  • Operate as a 60:40 player-coach: drive insight work directly while building, managing, and mentoring a high-performing research team
  • Support direct reports with clear development goals and timely, consistent feedback. Inspire and upskill the team with latest UXR thought leadership and best practice
  • Continually raise the bar and quality of research at Multiverse through improved UXR ops and impact tracking
  • Leverage AI tools to streamline research workflows—e.g. synthesis, tagging, pattern recognition—while maintaining rigour and ethics
  • Enable non-researchers to confidently run foundational research and gather insight through training, coaching, and ops support
  • Create and track research KPIs to show impact on business outcomes such as retention and CSAT
