Position Overview

This role focuses on client consulting, commercial leadership, project management, and thought leadership within the consumer intelligence space. The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to clients, driving satisfaction through insights and actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

Client Consulting

  • Act as a trusted partner: Understand client needs, deliver with excellence, and make an impact.
  • Drive client satisfaction by providing insights and actionable recommendations during presentations or business reviews.
  • Attend client planning meetings and contribute by providing Nielsen insights and solutions to the client’s business needs.
  • Communicate with mid-level clients regarding their research queries.
  • Present effectively to mid-level clients or audiences.
  • Manage client communication, particularly with mid-level clients, during critical situations.
  • Take ownership of projects, managing client relations and partnering throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all presentations delivered by reports tell a clear story, provide insights, and offer actionable recommendations.

Commercial Leadership

  • Assist AD/CS Lead with simple tasks related to project scoping (e.g., checking databases, target groups) and attend client briefing calls when needed.

Project Management

  • Proactively identify and address client issues and needs.
  • Stay informed on all stages of project management and monitor progress.
  • Ensure services provided to clients are timely and precise, meeting client business needs and specifications while adhering to company quality standards.
  • Handle all day-to-day client communication on projects, using good judgment on when to involve management.
  • Meet internal and external deadlines for all deliverables.

Thought Leadership - Integration

  • Strengthen category/client knowledge.
  • Develop a strategic understanding of industry trends, competition, and opportunities for Nielsen.
  • Make a positive impact for the team and clients.
  • Begin consulting on client business issues related to the improvement of innovations.

Team/People

  • Serve as a good role model for day-to-day behavior.
  • Seek and provide guidance to peers.
  • Act as a mentor (formal or informal).

Qualifications

  • University degree in Marketing, Economics, or a related field is a must; Postgraduate or MBA is preferred.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in Primary Quantitative Market Research.
  • Strong analytical mind and excellent numerical skills.
  • Good knowledge of advanced analysis, methods, and tools.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to collaborate.
  • Very good interpersonal skills.
