Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with emphasis in advertising/marketing and/or communications
  • Preferably 6+ years of agency or client-related pharma experience, demonstrating comprehensive understanding of advertising, marketing, media, creative, production, and research
  • Experience with key milestones in a product’s lifecycle (e.g., label changes, campaign launches)
  • Proficiency in managing jobs across multiple mediums, including digital and video
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience leading client meetings and building relationships
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to address complex project challenges
  • Experience with Project Management tools (e.g., Workamajig, Workfront, Excel)

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-profile projects involving unique technology, processes, or workflows; develop timelines, estimates, and scenarios as needed; monitor and adjust workflows and resources to optimize project efficiency
  • Supervise Associate Project Managers (APMs) on routing, approval processes, and client change documentation; escalate issues to the Project Director when necessary
  • Manage project budgets and timelines rigorously; monitor scope progress, identify work breakdowns, and proactively estimate for project changes; communicate overages to internal and client teams as required
  • Lead status and project-related discussions with clients, partner agencies, and third parties; provide insights on project deliverables, scope changes, contingencies, and financial implications
  • Utilize Project Management Software (e.g., Workamajig, Workfront, Excel) to automate tasks, ensure quality, and improve process efficiency
  • Develop conference reports and meeting recaps, ensuring clear communication internally and externally; lead internal cross-functional meetings and provide project management insights to clients as needed
  • Oversee weekly and monthly client financial reporting, including billing summaries and financial analysis; provide regular updates to senior management as required
  • Manage the employee lifecycle for APMs, including onboarding, training, development, and conducting performance reviews; address HR issues and escalate to senior management when necessary
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations for assigned brand(s), ensuring projects are executed at the highest quality level, on time, and within budget; lead all tactics independently with little direction from PM Director; provide guidance and mentoring to PMs and APMs
