We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive the development and lifecycle management of innovative products for early cancer detection (ECD). This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the product strategy for high-impact diagnostics aimed at improving patient outcomes through earlier interventions. With a deep understanding of product development in the diagnostics space, the ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams through all phases of product development—from feasibility through launch, growth, and obsolescence. This is a high-ownership role combining strategic vision and technical execution, requiring experience in the diagnostics or life sciences industry with a demonstrated ability to launch novel, clinically impactful products.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the product lifecycle for ECD diagnostics, from concept to commercialization, including product definition, planning, and delivery.
  • Define and execute a strategic product roadmap aligned with clinical and market needs for early cancer detection.
  • Translate complex clinical and scientific insights into clear product requirements in partnership with R&D, clinical affairs, software engineering, and regulatory teams.
  • Lead Voice of Customer (VOC) initiatives, competitive analysis, and market research to ensure product differentiation and customer satisfaction.
  • Define and monitor key product performance indicators (KPIs) such as sensitivity, specificity, and turnaround time; collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Own product development documentation, including user needs, product requirements, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with Clinical and Regulatory Affairs to support study design, data analysis, and regulatory submissions.
  • Partner with Marketing and Commercial teams to establish value propositions, go-to-market strategy, pricing models, and launch readiness.
  • Develop financial models and business cases to support portfolio investment decisions and growth opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders on product development progress, roadmap evolution, and strategic priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science, engineering, or relevant technical discipline required; Master’s or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in product management or development within the diagnostics, oncology, or medical device industries.
  • Deep understanding of early cancer detection technologies and clinical workflows strongly preferred.
  • Experience with regulated products, including IVDs or LDTs, and familiarity with FDA or CLIA regulatory pathways.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional product development efforts in a matrixed environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strategic thinker with strong executional focus and a track record of delivering impactful products.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate scientific and technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project and process management skills; detail-oriented with excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Financial acumen for developing business cases and modeling product economics.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and product management tools; experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
  • Able to influence and align stakeholders across functions, from R&D to commercial.
