Product Design Manager, Plan
GitLabFull Time
Expert & Leadership (9+ years)
Candidates should have deep experience designing for complex real-world workflows, particularly those involving physical coordination, compliance, or document-heavy processes in industries like construction, logistics, or finance. They must be comfortable working with ambiguous requirements, iterating quickly with cross-functional teams, and translating complex process logic into user-friendly interfaces. Strong systems thinking, the ability to collaborate confidently with engineers, and hands-on experience implementing designs with HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks are essential. Experience shaping and maintaining scalable design systems and component libraries is also required, along with an understanding of enterprise product design stakes. Familiarity with AI/LLM-powered interfaces and construction/contech experience are considered bonuses.
The Senior Product Designer will design and iterate on core product features and interactions, from initial concepts and wireframes to high-fidelity designs and handoff. They will collaborate with engineers to ensure accurate design implementation, engage in user feedback loops to validate and adjust designs, and support the evolution of the product into a robust, enterprise-scale platform. Additionally, they will work closely with product managers and the broader team to help shape the product roadmap.
