Requirements

Candidates should have 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in architecture or principal roles. Expertise in mobile (iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin) and web (React, Angular) platforms is required, along with strong knowledge of microservices, GraphQL, API-first design, and AWS-native systems. Familiarity with SDUI, distributed systems, resilient architecture, monitoring, observability, incident response, consumer tech domains, headless CMS, rules engines, experimentation, personalization, AI agent design, LLM orchestration, and AI tools integration is expected. Proficiency with developer enablement, automation platforms, and engineering transformation initiatives is also needed.

Responsibilities

The Senior Principal Engineer will guide the architecture vision for D2C platforms with a mobile-first and AI-native mindset, defining roadmaps for mobile and web with an emphasis on scalability and maintainability. They will champion modern patterns like micro frontends, SDUI, BFF, and serverless systems, applying enterprise architecture principles and building reusable frameworks. The role involves leading technical design across consumer products and internal platforms, shaping cohesive end-to-end architecture, and guiding strategic areas like identity and personalization. Collaboration with product, data, and cybersecurity teams, mentoring engineers, and promoting the adoption of AI tools are key. Additionally, they will lead the Exponential Engineer Initiative to grow AI-first engineering and evaluate new technologies, especially Generative AI, to improve engineering outcomes.
