Candidates should possess a Ph.D. degree in Machine Learning, Data Science, AI, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, along with more than 10 years of experience in AI, data science, and predictive modeling. A track record of leading the development of impactful analytical solutions with Return on Investment for fraud detection, risk management, or marketing optimization is required, as well as proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, and C. Experience developing analytical solutions using deep learning (CNN, RNN, LSTM, attention models), machine learning methodologies (SVM, GLM, boosting, random forest, etc.), graph models, and reinforcement learning, along with experience with open-source tools for deep learning and machine learning technology such as pytorch, Keras, tensorflow, scikit-learn, and pandas is necessary. Furthermore, experience with large data analysis using Spark (pySpark preferred) and familiarity with LLMs and Generative AI tools is essential.
As a Senior Principal Data Scientist at the Experian Innovation Lab, the role involves understanding market trends and client pain points to lead the Lab's R&D roadmap for the next 3-5 years, following new technologies in AI and Machine Learning to guide research efforts, leading the development of impactful analytical solutions with Return on Investment related to Identity management, fraud detection, risk management, and marketing optimization, solving complex challenges by developing impactful algorithms, crafting advanced machine learning analytical solutions to extract insights from diverse data sources, leading efforts to improve the Lab's data management and modeling processes, coaching junior team members, unearthing data value through appropriate techniques, improving data manipulation and retrieval, innovating with data processing tools, dissecting and documenting datasets, ensuring model excellence through validation and performance analysis, and articulating model processes and outcomes.
