This role is for a Senior PR and Communications Manager for Monzo Business, a rapidly growing area supporting over 600,000 small and medium-sized businesses. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in PR for an SME audience, managing press office activities, and developing/executing PR strategies in collaboration with marketing, engineering, and product teams. The role requires exceptional communication, collaboration, multitasking skills, strategic planning, and a hands-on approach. You will report to the VP of Communications and join a growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the PR strategy for Monzo Business, shaping how its value and impact are communicated.
  • Working with internal teams to develop and pitch expert commentary, opinion pieces, and speaker opportunities on business banking trends.
  • Building relationships with key media and journalists.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders within Monzo Business on external communications, media engagement, and narrative development.
  • Driving and supporting ambitious PR strategies for new Monzo Business product launches.
  • Showcasing the success stories of Monzo's business banking customers in the press.
  • Managing press inquiries.
  • Collaborating across teams to uncover compelling stories relevant to an SME audience.
  • Mining data and insights to create engaging media stories.
  • Being an excellent team player within a growing, high-performing team.
