Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a technical field like computer science or computer engineering, or have equivalent experience. Experience with orchestration platforms such as Temporal.io, configuration management systems like Terraform, and programming languages such as Go, Ruby, or Python is required. Deep knowledge of core cloud hosting concepts including IAM, DNS, Networking, and Storage, along with significant experience in at least one cloud hosting platform (AWS or Azure) is essential. Proficiency with container runtimes and orchestration like Docker and Kubernetes, a solid understanding of networking and distributed computing, and experience with GitOps and Infrastructure as Code concepts are also necessary. Experience working within a distributed team and excellent written communication skills are important.
The role involves developing infrastructure automation and management solutions focused on scalability, observability, automation, reliability, security, and quality. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions that enable efficient and secure software delivery by engineering teams. The position also entails delivering internal infrastructure services such as monitoring, logging, and alerting, and expanding and enhancing the company's Kubernetes-based application environment.
Platform for managing product data and assets
Salsify provides a platform called CommerceXM that helps brands and retailers manage their product data and digital assets for online sales. The platform combines Product Information Management (PIM), Digital Asset Management (DAM), and Experience Management (XM) to ensure that product information is consistent and engaging across various online channels.
