Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working with System Integrators (SIs) in Japan
  • Strong experience with major cloud platforms and tooling, especially Azure or AWS, or Google Cloud
  • Native verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and business level in English
  • Presales or hands-on experience with Data Warehouse, Data Lake or Lakehouse platform
  • Presales or hands-on experience in designing and building highly scalable data pipelines using Spark, Kafka to ingest data from various systems
  • Experience with partner integration ecosystem like dbt, Fivetran, Informatica, Qlik, Tableau/Salesforce (plus)
  • Presales or hands-on experience using Big Data or Cloud integration technologies such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue
  • Proven track record of successfully working with leading partners and creating technical champions among them
  • Knowledge of broader Platform ecosystem, products, and competition
  • Ability to travel up to 20% within Japan

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with partners to develop Snowflake solutions in customer engagements, create assets and demos, build hands-on POCs, and pitch Snowflake solutions
  • Help Solution Providers/Practice Leads with technical strategies to enable them to sell their offerings on Snowflake
  • Keep Partners up to date on key Snowflake product updates and future roadmaps to help them represent Snowflake to clients
  • Run technical enablement programs, provide best practices, and conduct solution design workshops to help Partners create effective solutions
  • Forward strategic thinking: quickly grasp new concepts and business value messaging, share customer success stories & case studies
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of how Partners make revenue through industry priorities & complexities and influence where Snowflake products can have the most impact
  • Engage in conversations with other technologists and provide presentations at the C-level
  • Act as a technical advisor by aligning with key programs and educating/upskilling partners on key product features
  • Present skills to both technical and executive audiences using whiteboarding, presentations, and demos to build mindshare among Snowflake Partners in Japan
  • Engage local and global teams to support partners on technical aspects
  • Develop data domain thought leadership within the partner community
  • Provide technical product and deep architectural expertise & latest product capabilities to Partner Solution Architect community in Japan
