At least 3 years of experience managing drivers in a transportation environment
5+ years of automotive logistics experience
Transportation Management Systems experience

Responsibilities

Oversee all outbound (OB) movement of materials and vehicles within warehouse and service center locations
Develop an OB transportation strategy aligned with milestones
Plan, execute, hire, establish KPIs, and manage day-to-day operations of internal drivers and 3PL suppliers
Create processes to effectively manage OB transportation within warehouse and service center network
Implement standardized work to operate within DOT regulations (driver and fleet side)
Assist in preparing for commercial launch
Develop a strategy to ensure vehicles are delivered on time to internal customers at the most efficient cost in a high-growth environment
Establish processes to operate and maintain fleet in optimum condition (equipment maintenance)
Develop and implement safety guidelines to ensure team safety
Ensure assets always meet all legal requirements for permitting and licensing (DOT and state regulations)
Develop and monitor KPIs to ensure continuous improvement in cost, service, and quality
Manage day-to-day operations of outbound vehicle transportation, including dispatch to internal drivers and 3PL suppliers
Support monitoring and management of budget forecast and performance; develop and implement corrective actions when needed
Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Zoox Logistics, Engineering, Service Operations) to ensure high-quality service
