Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 7 years managing large automation, material handling, or construction projects. Proven expertise in scheduling, scope, cost, and risk management for complex technical projects is required, along with experience managing design/build, installation, and construction projects. Strong stakeholder management skills across executives, clients, contractors, and engineering teams are essential, as is a track record of on-time and within-budget delivery. Proficiency with scheduling software, earned value management, and data-driven performance tracking (Smartsheet/Jira) is necessary, as is the ability to provide technical insight and facilitate informed design/process discussions. A background in robotic automation, ASRS, or material handling is strongly preferred, and candidates should be located in the Eastern or Central time zone.
The Senior Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams through the execution phase of large-scale automation solutions at client sites, from early site preparation to final system acceptance. Responsibilities include ensuring scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives are consistently achieved, partnering closely with engineering, supply chain, quality, installation, and commissioning leaders to coordinate timelines and ensure rapid, high-quality system delivery. The role involves proactively identifying and managing risks and opportunities, championing continuous improvement by refining processes, standards, and communications, and facilitating cross-functional meetings to provide clear updates to internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager will foster a culture of transparency, timely decision-making, and strong partnerships, and may provide oversight and mentorship to other project managers.
