Requirements

Candidates must have 5-7 years of experience in quality, process, or NPI engineering, preferably in high-tech manufacturing or optoelectronic components. A Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Materials, Process, or Quality Engineering (or a related technical field) is required. Strong knowledge of quality control tools like SPC, 5D/8D, and FMEA, experience with contract manufacturers and on-site support, and a solid understanding of manufacturing process controls, material handling, ESD standards, and product assembly flows are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are necessary, along with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate effectively with remote engineering teams. The role requires comfort working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

The Senior NPI Engineer will act as the on-site quality representative at contract manufacturers, overseeing end-to-end quality processes for interconnect optical transceivers and CPO sub assemblies. Responsibilities include monitoring and enforcing manufacturing quality standards, such as ESD controls and line audits, and proactively identifying and escalating quality risks. The engineer will support NPI activities by assisting with product bring-up, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with global cross-functional engineering teams. Driving root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality incidents and collaborating with NVIDIA engineering, NPI, supplier quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure product reliability and successful production ramps are also key duties.
