Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead launch strategy for current programs and partner cross-functionally on future product, looking for overarching brand efficiencies and opportunities
  • Devise product-driven marketing initiatives to optimize sales, share, variable profit, and customer targets
  • Leverage and storytelling through data to make informed decisions to implement and execute strategy, and communicate strategy to senior leaders
  • Lead a large team of Marketing Managers, Assistant Marketing Managers, and Product Information Specialists; drive successful execution of marketing strategies and develop a high-performing team through feedback, coaching, performance reviews, and skill development
  • Be the voice of the customer through deep knowledge of understanding the customers' functional, technical, and emotional needs
  • Drive insights and recommendations with a consumer-first mindset, driven by data and a comprehensive understanding of the product, brand, segment trends, and competitive landscape (current and future)
  • For each product: identify consumer insights, competitive opportunities, and segment trends to guide development of market strategy/tactics
  • Lead target market definition, positioning, and key messages
  • Develop and lead all stakeholders to a 4P launch plan from pre-launch through post-launch for new products and throughout lifecycle with a focus on driving growth, profitability, and loyalty
  • Develop cohesive and segment-appropriate packaging, trim, and go-to-market strategies for each model
  • Partner with sales operations on monthly go-to-market plan recommendations including inventory analysis, trim mix and packaging optimizations, and production recommendations
  • Collaborate with Brand Strategy Team to develop compelling consumer insights and messaging strategy
  • Closely partner with Product Marketing and Engineering on program lifecycle management and future program development, identifying customer needs/wants, developing initial model content and strategy, and creating product wins for communications
  • Assume leadership role in developing content for dealer product training
  • Implement and create lifecycle-appropriate special editions, packaging adjustments, and promotions to attain business objectives where appropriate
  • Collaborate with PR/Communications and Advertising teams to develop key messages for media and social media and actively participate in media events as a subject matter expert
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations Team in dealer communications and soliciting feedback to ensure plans can be effectively executed at retail
  • Engage and partner with Order Fulfillment and Sales Operations in managing product distribution strategy and tactics, including presenting to field team on consensus calls
  • Ensure accuracy and effective messaging in all consumer communications, dealer communications, press releases, dealer order guides
  • Serve as SME of assigned products/segments to the wider GM organization; provide guidance to develop a portfolio approach for marketing management
