Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in business development, partnership management, or a related field within the payments industry
  • Solid understanding of the payments landscape, with specific knowledge of card scheme regulations, products, and partnership models (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of successful negotiation and deal closure
  • Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions to complex business challenges
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to track, analyze, and interpret data to inform decision-making
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for driving growth

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify key scheme partners and prioritize opportunities based on Checkout.com's strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with scheme partners to develop comprehensive GTM plans encompassing joint marketing initiatives, sales enablement programs, and co-selling activities
  • Lead negotiations with scheme partners to establish mutually beneficial commercial terms, ensuring alignment with Checkout.com's revenue goals and risk appetite
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of scheme partners, ensuring smooth sales operations and ongoing relationship management
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Account Management, Product) to promote Checkout.com solutions within the scheme partner ecosystem and drive adoption among their clients
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to scheme partnerships, providing regular reports to leadership and identifying areas for optimization
  • Serve as a key point of contact for scheme partners, representing Checkout.com at industry events and fostering strong relationships within the payments ecosystem
