Requirements

  • 7+ years in People Operations/HR, with at least 3 years focused on US-based employees
  • Demonstrated success in advising leadership on complex ER and organizational topics
  • Strong knowledge of US labor law, compensation practices, and benefits administration
  • Track record of scaling processes in a high-growth, distributed or remote-first environment (tech/SaaS preferred)
  • Proficiency with HRIS, EoR and payroll tools (e.g., Deel, Remote, Rippling, BambooHR, ADP)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance execution and long-term planning
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management abilities

Responsibilities

  • Own the full scope of People Ops for the US organization, ensuring compliance, engagement, and alignment with global practices
  • Ensure compliance with US labor laws, leave regulations, and employment documentation
  • Oversee contracts, onboarding, and offboarding for US-based employees
  • Manage payroll inputs, benefits administration, and open enrollment in partnership with Finance
  • Lead and support the US Office Manager
  • Anticipate risks and proactively design programs and policies that protect both the business and employee experience
  • Provide strategic counsel to managers and leadership on employee relations, performance, and organizational design
  • Act as the senior point of contact for complex ER cases, investigations, and conflict resolution, ensuring outcomes are fair, compliant, and aligned with Stream’s culture
  • Drive initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, inclusion, and retention across US teams
  • Partner with managers on performance management, coaching, and leadership development
  • Oversee US onboarding and offboarding experiences, raising the bar for seamless and impactful transitions
  • Develop frameworks for compensation, benefits, and career development
  • Use data and insights (turnover, engagement, pay equity, ER cases) to identify trends, mitigate risks, and influence decision-making at the leadership level
  • Own continuous process improvement—ensuring systems, policies, and practices scale efficiently while maintaining compliance
  • Partner with the global People team to align US processes with global best practices
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on US hiring logistics
  • Support company culture initiatives within the US team
