A strong understanding of HR compliance, local employment law, and regulatory requirements in the EMEA region is essential, as is the ability to use data to identify trends and develop solutions. Maintaining deep expertise in client group business, operating models, objectives, and industry trends is also a key requirement.
The Senior Manager, People Business Partners, Engineering will support AI Engineering and Platforms Engineering teams, influencing and executing people strategies to align with organizational and business goals. Responsibilities include consulting on global expansion efforts in the EMEA region, partnering with the broader People Business Partners and People Group to implement GitLab's programs and policies, and advising on People programs tailored to EMEA regional needs. The role involves collaborating with team member relations and legal teams on HR compliance and local employment law, consulting with local regulatory bodies, and using data to identify trends and develop solutions. Additionally, the position requires driving talent strategies focused on engagement and retention, providing guidance on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning, and owning and executing company-wide Talent Programs within client groups.
