Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Business/Sales/Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5+ years in customer or supplier facing role or a customer or supplier supportive role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong tactical planning and leadership skills
  • Able to self-direct work priorities to meet multiple deadlines
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution capabilities
  • Work collaboratively across corporate functional areas
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Salesforce.com, SUS/AS400, SPIN, Sysco Reporting Systems
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Willingness to travel 10-20% regionally and nationally (up to 50% as per job header)
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers for computer/keyboard/mouse/telephone, reach with hands/arms, and occasionally lift/move up to 20 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Help achieve Sales, Gross Profit, and Delivered-Margin Financial Plan for assigned customers and ensure OpCo alignment with Corporate targets
  • Assist with execution of AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and JBP (Joint Business Plan) for customers, aligning with Customer and Sysco goals
  • Coordinate complex customer requests/projects/initiatives, including limited-time offers, new location openings, product additions, and deletions
  • Analyze and identify mutual customer/Sysco value in the Supply Chain (e.g., category/product voids for increased case volume, increased Sysco Brand Mix for customer value and Sysco margin, reduced operating expense like drop size, off schedule, returns, credits)
  • Manage day-to-day interaction with customers, communication flow to OpCo Contract Sales leads and AEs, problem resolution, and service level monitoring
  • Support VP-National Accounts in management of assigned customers to enhance customer experience, achieve Sales and Profit plans, service levels, and overall customer satisfaction
  • Handle day-to-day administration for customers
  • Provide guidance to Sysco OpCos, Corporate Departments, suppliers, and assist in coordination of all interactions and workflows with the customer
