Requirements

  • 8+ years of IT operations, technical support, or O365 administration experience, with at least 2 years in team lead role
  • Proven experience in the 500+ employee organization and/or IT consulting
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Azure AD)
  • Hands-on experience with Okta or similar identity and access management solutions
  • Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks (ITIL, service delivery metrics, SLA/KPI management)
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong background in endpoint security, mobile device management, and SaaS/cloud adoption
  • Prior experience leading IT transformation projects in consulting or pharmaceutical industries
  • Microsoft or security-related certifications (MS-100/101, AZ-104, MD-101, SC-300, or equivalent)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the 3rd-party Help Desk team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction
  • Plan and execute enterprise-wide technology rollouts, ensuring successful adoption and minimal disruption to business operations
  • Manage ticketing workflows, escalations, and service delivery in line with SLAs and KPIs
  • Ensure IT operations align with business and compliance requirements (GxP, FDA, or relevant pharma regulations)
  • Provide escalation support for complex technical and business-critical issues
  • Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, and Azure AD)
  • Oversee user lifecycle management, licensing, permissions, and access policies
  • Manage and integrate identity and access management solutions, including Okta and Azure AD
  • Ensure security, compliance, and governance across Microsoft 365 and identity platforms
  • Oversee endpoint management, patching, backups, and monitoring (Intune or equivalent tools)
  • Maintain IT asset inventory (hardware, software, licensing) with accurate lifecycle tracking
  • Manage vendor and consultant relationships, including contract negotiations and escalations
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, corporate policies, and IT security standards
  • Support hybrid environments (on-prem Active Directory + Azure AD)
  • Implement repeatable practices for incident, problem, and change management
  • Develop and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process efficiencies, and technology upgrades
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies
  • Track advancements in Microsoft platforms, evaluate opportunities to leverage new features, and champion their implementation
