Timescale is a product-led growth organization empowering businesses with real-time insights from their data. We are building a modern PostgreSQL cloud platform and seeking a Senior Manager, Marketing Operations to help scale our marketing team. This role will focus on optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Marketing department, empowering teams to autonomously build and launch marketing programs. You will lead a team of two, responsible for managing the marketing technology stack, marketing analytics, and marketing program operations, providing support, training, and documentation to the broader marketing team.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of marketing platforms (e.g., Hubspot, Hockeystack)
  • Expertise in analytics and reporting tools, such as Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with data management practices, including data hygiene, segmentation, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead and nurture a team to ensure operational excellence and alignment across marketing initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams within Marketing and in BizOps and Sales.
  • Oversee and optimize marketing technology stack including Hubspot, Hockeystack, CommonRoom, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, and more.
  • Evaluate and recommend new marketing technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establish standardized processes for handling requests from Marketing teams, prioritizing work and adhering to SLAs.
  • Support the execution of marketing campaigns across all channels.
  • Develop and monitor marketing metrics tracking and report performance on a regular cadence to leadership.
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy across all marketing systems.
  • Conduct regular data audits and implement data cleansing procedures.
  • Analyze marketing data to identify trends, identify areas for improvement, and inform future marketing strategies.
