Requirements

  • 10–15 years of hardware engineering experience, including at least 3–5 years in a leadership or people management capacity
  • Demonstrated experience bringing high-complexity hardware products to market—ideally in electric vehicles, automotive, aerospace, or consumer robotics
  • Deep technical expertise in both high-voltage and low-voltage system design, development, and validation
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex hardware development cycles from prototype to mass production
  • Strong understanding of electric drivetrains, power electronics, embedded systems, and hardware-software integration
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity startup or early-stage product development environment
  • Excellent communication skills with a track record of building trust and alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; Master’s degree preferred

  • Familiarity with DFMEA, DVP&R, ISO 26262, and relevant safety and compliance standards
  • Hands-on experience in prototype builds, system bring-up, and root cause analysis

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-caliber hardware engineering team through all phases of development—from concept to production
  • Define and evolve the hardware architecture for Pebble’s electric RV platform, including both high-voltage and low-voltage systems
  • Drive execution of hardware development programs, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and alignment with company goals
  • Oversee validation and testing of hardware components and systems, ensuring production readiness and system reliability
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, systems integration, mechanical, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to enable seamless product development and launch
  • Identify technical risks and lead resolution efforts through hands-on problem-solving and cross-functional coordination
  • Establish and manage project budgets, resource plans, development timelines, and vendor relationships
  • Contribute to long-term hardware roadmap planning in alignment with strategic product and technology objectives
  • Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the hardware team
