Responsibilities

  • Monitoring trends and changes in political environment, reimbursement law and healthcare legislation
  • Develops a strong professional partnership with external entities, so that those groups can fully understand BMS and its positions and support them when appropriate
  • Design and lead government affairs (GA) activities, building aligned multi-stakeholder strategies and platforms that make a valuable contribution to healthcare delivery, create consensus and demonstrate BMS’s commitment
  • Build and execute BMS’s GA plans ensuring relevant insights and anticipated trends are provided to the company, securing opportunities to shape the external environment
  • Use external insights to challenge business and brand strategies for improved delivery in line with our stakeholders’ expectations
  • Establish and cultivate relationships and engagement with pivotal stakeholders: payers, policy makers, government officials and governmental organizations
  • Utilize insights from key stakeholders and identify opportunities for access solutions and business goals
  • Provide and manage policy discussions/communications to government officials, non-governmental entities and other external stakeholders tailored to BMS portfolio, incorporating cross-functional actions
  • Elevate community awareness and explore opportunities for strategic collaborations with government and non-governmental entities
  • Organize and participate in key policy forums and activities to support company goals and policy positions
  • Creates and communicates a compelling vision how BMS Poland can shape the external policy environment that generates excitement, enthusiasm and commitment across the organization. Conducts all activity on behalf of the organization consistent with the BMS pledge and mission and especially all applicable internal policies
  • Forecasts general healthcare trends as reflected in media
  • Converts complex information into easily understood themes that are consistent with the overall message of the organization and instigates internal and external information flow
  • Supports the General Manager in industry associations, government forums and media with the aim of positively shaping the external business environment and company’s image
  • Builds strong internal relationships that foster open communications and an understanding of the internal clients’ needs
  • Acts as a pro-active thinker by proposing innovative communication actions to optimize our message and the flow of information
  • Establishes and maintains a relationship network with key media
  • Adapts and implements international action plans to local needs to support them
