Candidates must have 10 to 15 years of proven experience as an Electrical Engineer, specifically in mission-critical, large industrial, or data center construction and operations. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required. Strong expertise in developing electrical designs for data centers, including power distribution systems, is necessary. Candidates should have the ability to lead and manage contractors and construction teams effectively, along with a deep understanding of all phases of electrical system development. Experience commissioning UPS, generators, switchgear, and other electrical infrastructure equipment is essential. Familiarity with reviewing and understanding electrical engineering drawings for high-capacity facilities and high voltage power designs is also required. Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure is preferred, but substantial design experience can be considered in lieu of PE licensure. Candidates should have significant experience in a design role, preferably working for an A/E firm, Design-Build Contractor, or another engineering role.
The Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering will develop conceptual electrical designs for data centers, progressing through various project stages from Front End Planning to Issue for Construction. They will lead and direct design teams, general contractors, and construction teams in the design and coordination of electrical systems. Additionally, the manager will manage, review, and guide power system designs throughout all project phases, including design development, equipment procurement, bidding, manufacturing, delivery, and on-site installation.
