Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, and have at least 15+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role, with a minimum of 5+ years in a leadership or managerial position. Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries across multiple databases such as SQL Server, Azure, and MySQL is required, along with hands-on experience in data engineering tools and technologies including Python, Databricks, PySparkSQL, Synapse, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark is also necessary.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager - Data Engineering, you will lead, mentor, and develop a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. You will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), working closely with product managers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data availability and quality. You will identify opportunities to automate data processes, assess and incorporate data management tools, oversee data engineering projects, and ensure data governance, security, and compliance. Furthermore, you will contribute to data-driven solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and explore AI and Machine Learning use cases, particularly in the area of Generative AI.
