Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience, with fresh chicken sales experience preferred
  • 2+ years sales experience in Retail channel and/or 2+ years National Accounts Direct Sales Experience
  • Standard computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; public speaking and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel 12+ domestic trips per year
  • No direct reports (supervisory)

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales volume and financial objectives, driving sales and meeting financial targets
  • Develop and lead strategic customer relationships for collaboration and joint sales planning, focusing on BJ's and Costco
  • Engage with customer sales planning teams at off-site customer office locations
  • Provide timely, concise, and effective communication both internally and externally
  • Align and execute multiple business strategies with Tyson and customer objectives
  • Collaborate with customer service, business units, and customers to deliver sales operations and logistics excellence
  • Plan, forecast, and achieve high volume annual growth quotas
  • Manage weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews with the customer and Tyson
  • Provide Tyson field support, direction, and communication
  • Lead special projects to drive business results
  • Manage and reduce T&E deductions and AR issues
  • Prepare weekly sales reports
  • Plan and manage the annual promotional spending calendar
  • Track and report competitive activities
  • Conduct price and volume contract negotiations
  • Collaborate with production and production planning to optimize production flow and efficiencies
  • Work with various internal teams to create winning business propositions
  • Work with the CSR team to manage and improve customer service
  • Live out Tyson’s Core Values, embracing and demonstrating Tyson’s Customer Promise core values and the RIGHT Behaviors daily
