Requirements

  • High school diploma, Industrial maintenance card or journeyman’s license preferred
  • 5+ years industrial maintenance experience required, must have experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical troubleshooting including PLC’s
  • Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, technical specifications, prints/schematics of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools and measuring equipment
  • Proficient in mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting (low and high voltage up to 480 volts), PLC troubleshooting/wiring/logic, hydraulics, pneumatics
  • Basic computer skills required, including ability to learn and utilize CMMS for data entry, work orders, and documentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and basic math skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and with management, operations/production personnel, and contractors
  • Ability to self-motivate, work independently, multi-task in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Ability to lift or move 75 pounds
  • Ability to withstand changing environments and work at high elevations if needed
  • Ability to operate an aerial lift and sit-down forklift
  • Comfortable with 3rd shift (5:00PM–5:00AM), rotating flex schedule including weekends/holidays, and approximately 1-2 weeks travel per year for training

Responsibilities

  • Perform and complete preventative maintenance and repairs on plant production equipment, including mechanical repairs (shaft seal replacements, motor replacement/alignments, rebuilds of pneumatic/hydraulic cylinders/valves/pumps, bearings/sprockets/conveyor systems), electrical troubleshooting, PLC troubleshooting/wiring/logic, vacuum pumps/packaging machines, box makers/tapers
  • Interpret and understand procedure manuals
  • Perform oil removal and system maintenance on hydraulic and vacuum equipment
  • Execute timely repairs using precision maintenance techniques to meet production rates and downtime goals
  • Enter data daily into CMMS system, including preventative maintenance records and inspection-generated work orders
  • Maintain a safe work environment, following all safety protocols and company policies
  • Participate in in-house and external training programs and skill development in maintenance areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
