  • M.S. degree in Instructional Systems Technology, Performance Technology, Adult Learning, or related experience/education
  • Human Performance Improvement (HPI) Certification
  • 5 years experience as learning professional in regulated environment
  • Additional Preferences
  • Experience with content authoring tools, such as Storyline, Rise, Vyond, Camtasia, WalkMe
  • Written and verbal English proficiency
  • Demonstrated skills in strategic thinking, leadership, and proactive strategic learning and development consultation
  • Experience with learning, development, and standard operating procedure based business processes
  • Experience implementing learning interventions to meet accessibility requirements (such as WCAG)
  • Experience managing translations in learning deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability in communication, conflict resolution, judgment and managing ambiguity for effective results in complex, resource-constrained situations
  • Ability and willingness to challenge business leadership regarding ways to use learning interventions to most effectively meet business requirements
  • Experience with Microsoft tools, including Sharepoint, Teams and Forms
  • Demonstrated experience in instructional design, analysis, and evaluation
  • Ability to effectively partner globally
  • Ability to navigate complex, matrix-based organizations

Responsibilities

  • Develops web-based, instructor-led, blended instruction, self-study, and virtual-session learning solutions within Lilly’s Learning & Development technology environment
  • Receives learning objectives and other source content from Lilly business area L&D leads and subject matter experts (the internal “clients”) and organizes the learning targets into a logical, instructional flow, appropriate for the culture and level of expertise of the end user/learner
  • Works with learning professionals in LRL, Global Services, and Manufacturing & Quality and functional business partners to assess critical business needs and recommend learning solutions that address capability and competency gaps
  • Revises or redevelops learning solutions in response to feedback from the client
  • Assesses source content and proposes learning solution that includes accessibility
  • Identifies other recommended course revisions and partners with the business client to identify needed changes
  • Defines learning objectives and instructional design documentation
  • Responds to client design needs including escalations and risk inquiries related to the design and client subject matter expert issues
  • Delivers quality projects on time, within budget
  • Uploads content to appropriate content infrastructure sites, L&D content repositories, and Learning Management Systems as needed
  • Supports file naming, Lilly Branding and design guidelines in L&D content
  • Complies with all policies and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned
