Requirements

  • 5–7 years of professional experience designing digital products or services
  • Portfolio showcasing strong UX and interaction design work with measurable results
  • Proficiency in Figma and fluency in modern design workflows
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities
  • Degree in Design, HCI, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in designing digital products, mobile apps, ecommerce platforms, and cross-channel experiences (preferred)
  • Deep expertise in product design with a strong foundation in UX principles, usability heuristics, and customer-centric design thinking (preferred)
  • Experience designing for complex commerce platforms, including both net-new features and iterative improvements based on user data and business insights (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality interaction and visual design solutions across multiple platforms
  • Translate user insights and business goals into clear design strategies
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to define requirements, flows, and success measures
  • Participate in and often lead critiques, design reviews, and collaborative workshops
  • Contribute to the growth and maintenance of GM’s design system and standards
  • Support and guide junior designers through feedback and modeling best practices
