Description: We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to manage forecasting and analysis for a wide range of our customers, supporting cross-functional sales teams in managing customer relationships and negotiating deals. This role involves deep dives into customer performance to understand drivers and translating findings into decks and communications for executive leadership.

The Impact You’ll Have

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide executive leadership with relevant insights on customer performance.
  • Build models to forecast customer performance, including topline drivers and gross profit, with deal modeling and negotiation support.
  • Communicate monthly customer performance results to sales teams, building and presenting decks and providing supporting files.
  • Assist cross-functional teams in creating customer-facing review presentations highlighting the value of customer relationships with Marqeta.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes impacting Marqeta’s business and customers.
  • Continuously refine and optimize financial reporting and analysis processes, leveraging SQL for deeper data insights.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, with a focus on customer forecasting and deal modeling.
  • Financial Knowledge: Solid grasp of financial principles and GAAP accounting practices.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with SQL and Snowflake is highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, including expertise in crafting and presenting financial decks to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving business requirements.
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior experience with the financial intricacies of the issuing space and payment networks is a plus.
