Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Industry specific license(s) for water or wastewater
  • Preferred: Trades/Training Certificates - HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical
  • 2 to 5 years of mechanical/technical work experience including industrial or commercial process water experience
  • Water/Wastewater/Chemical handling, processing, analytical experience a plus
  • Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.)
  • Clean driving record
  • Be able to pass background check & pre-employment drug screen
  • Some travel required (20%-50% travel depending on division & location, overnight stays, away from home)
  • Electrical skills

  • Safe use of power and hand tools and test instruments
  • Work without direct supervision
  • Technically sound
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including smart devices
  • Must have customer service/field service experience

  • Located in northern Virginia (Leesburg/Ashburn) or southwest Baltimore, MD (Gaithersburg/Olney areas) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Initiating and executing field service activities at customer sites in a safe and efficient manner
  • Proactive system troubleshooting
  • Works with mechanical, electrical, chemical feed and storage equipment
  • Conducts routine contractual sampling and survey work
  • Preventative/breakdown maintenance
  • Maintains parts inventory
  • Completes cost accounting time entry and field data entry
  • Anticipates and corrects safety issues (both Company and Customer owned equipment)
  • Direct interfacing with customer
  • Responsible for work in multiple systems/locations/customers within a primary service area and regional territory
  • Create and maintain safe working environment and culture within the organization
  • Take care of company property
  • Demonstrates high impact culture through innovation, accountability and empowerment
  • Must be able to function in a team environment
  • Usually works with minimal supervision
