Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years as Internal Sales role or Account Manager roles with desire to grow and proven experience in sales or business development within the Retail or Hospitality payment industry
  • Knowledge of payment processing, financial technologies, regulatory frameworks, and understanding the dynamics of the global payment ecosystem
  • Knowledge of Luxury ecosystem (great plus)
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
  • Embody Planet values and culture to represent the organization to customers
  • "Growth and collaboration” mindset, focused on building trust and growing business through support and relationship-building to extend Planet services to more locations and/or countries

Responsibilities

  • Dedicate most time to commercial activities: identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities for Planet payment, tax-free, and software services, negotiate contracts, meet booking quotas to drive revenue growth and profitability
  • Collaborate with global peers to maximize revenue potential
  • Serve as central point of contact: understand customer needs, challenges, and objectives; ensure seamless experience; map key contacts on customer side and ensure they are known and addressed by relevant Planet counterparts
  • Provide vital support to customers, address concerns, and coordinate with Ops teams for defining and implementing solutions
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Support, Pre-sales, Solution, Implementation, Finance, Marketing, Executive Sponsors) to facilitate communication, alignment, solve issues, and meet customer demands
  • Articulate customer needs and pain points to internal teams to drive improvements in service and product offerings
  • Manage portfolio of named accounts: create individualized account plans, retain portfolio, avoid churn
  • Monitor customer performance and coordinate resolutions for discrepancies
  • Track and maximize revenue ramp against forecasts for new accounts/products/services or cross-sell/upsell bookings
  • Maintain updated customer information in Salesforce and other repositories
