Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant hands-on development in SaaS or fintech environments
  • 5+ years in engineering management, with proven success mentoring teams and delivering complex projects
  • Strong technical expertise across modern software development practices and tools; ability to dive deep into code and architecture when needed
  • Experience in leading cross-functional, globally distributed teams
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills—able to inspire both engineers and cross-functional partners
  • Experience in React, Node.js, and TypeScript, RESTful APIs, full-stack development
  • Experience in developing mobile applications
  • Proficiency in Ruby is beneficial, with additional value placed on familiarity with Next.js and Nest.js
  • Experience in Python development
  • Skilled in debugging, optimization, and unit/integration testing
  • Experience with Linux, Bash, and Docker
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) to collaborate effectively with U.S. leadership and global teams

Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering technical excellence and delivering high-quality, scalable software
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers in the U.S. and globally to design and deliver compelling user-facing products
  • Site Leadership: Serve as the leader for the Buenos Aires engineering office—building culture, attracting top talent, and establishing the site as a core part of Lendbuzz’s global engineering organization
  • Operational Excellence: Drive software development best practices, including code reviews, testing strategies, and production monitoring to ensure reliability and quality
  • Scaling: Partner with global engineering leadership to grow the site from the initial 5 engineers into a larger, multi-functional team that includes QA and analysts
  • Inspiration & Influence: Be a leader that people want to follow, setting the tone for technical rigor, ownership, and collaborative culture
