Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a directly related field along with 5 to 8 years of prior relevant experience. Proficient knowledge of job area is required, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Familiarity with high-speed memories such as DDR3/DDR4 and high-speed digital interfaces like PCIe 3.0/4.0, DisplayPort, USB 3.0, and Ethernet is essential. Experience with FPGAs, SoCs, firmware, and embedded software development is necessary. Candidates should also be familiar with standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and spectrum analyzers. Altium experience is a plus, and knowledge of military standards and hardware qualification processes such as EMI, thermal, and vibration is expected. The ability to obtain a security clearance is required, necessitating U.S. Citizenship.

Responsibilities

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, modifying, evaluating, and integrating electronic equipment and components for complex, high-performance hardware systems. They will oversee all aspects of the electrical hardware development lifecycle from requirements to design, testing, integration, and manufacturing. The engineer will evaluate various design approaches and use data-based methods to determine the best design directions. They will analyze electrical requirements to assess design feasibility within time and cost constraints and may use high-level programming languages to configure programmable logic devices. Additionally, they will conduct experimental tests, analyze equipment to establish operating data, and select components based on specifications and reliability while contributing to proposals and estimates of budget and schedule to meet program objectives.
