Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field required
  • 12+ years of HR experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to drive HR strategies for R&D organizations in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry, building strong, collaborative relationships across diverse backgrounds and levels
  • Demonstrated ability in coaching and developing R&D leaders, including scientists, clinicians, and technical experts to enhance leadership, people-management, and organizational effectiveness
  • Track record of shaping, scaling, and strengthening an HR Business Partner (HRBP) function to deliver strategic value and consistent impact across the organization
  • Proven expertise in strategic workforce planning from conception through execution
  • Demonstrated success in supporting business leaders in a consultative capacity
  • Deep knowledge of organizational development, process management, and change management
  • Skilled in conducting thorough, objective investigations and providing actionable recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and educate

Responsibilities

  • Coach and advise R&D leaders on organizational design, development, and change leadership while strengthening their leadership, people-management, and effectiveness in navigating complex business and talent challenges
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Director of International HR to align strategies and provide integrated HR support for the development functions across all locations
  • Partner with the VP, Global Human Resources to build and evolve the HR Business Partner (HRBP) function, ensuring it is positioned to deliver strategic value, consistency, and impact across R&D and the broader organization
  • Define, build, and implement value-added HR strategies and solutions that drive business results
  • Develop strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent at all levels to support business growth
  • Build strong partnerships across HR functions to deliver integrated solutions for key business needs
  • Use data and people analytics to provide insights on business and talent trends, presenting findings in a clear and compelling way that informs decisions and challenges conventional thinking
  • Design, implement, and lead HR projects and company-wide programs such as performance management, talent development, engagement, and policy to enhance the employee experience and align with strategic goals
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters in compliance with policies and regulations
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure recruitment strategies are aligned with workforce planning and capability needs
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state, regional, and country-specific employment laws and regulations, including investigations, recordkeeping, and representation
